Screen Printing Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do you have a minimum number of shirts I have to order for screen printing?
A. Yes. For white and light color shirts, our minimum is 24 shirts. For Dark printed t-shirts where white underlay is required, we have a minimum of 36 shirts.
Q. What is the "screen setup charge" I see on my estimate?
A. Each color that we print on your shirt required a screen. The image is burned into the screen so when we put ink on the screen and put the screen on your shirt, the ink passes through the screen only in the right place for that particular color. We charge a fee of $25 for each screen. The process takes a while to burn the screen and clean the screen up later for another image.
Q. Do I have to order all the same color shirts for my order?
A. No. You can order different color shirts for the same image. If we have to change any colors based on the shirt colors then you will pay a color change fee. You always have to do a minimum of 24 white or light colored shirts or 36 of dark or black shirts with the same image and colors.
Q. I am ordering both Adult and Youth shirts. Will you change the image size to fit proportionally on both sizes?
A. As a general rule, No. You are always welcome to purchase another set of screen setup for the other size you want to print. Remember, you always have to buy a minimum of 24 or 36 shirts with the same image printed on them, whether they are youth or adult sized. Most clients just size the images to fit both youth and adult.
